I am posting my WisCon reports over on LJ because I know that there's lots of folks that haven't migrated over (yet) and I want to have all comments in one place.
I know, but enough of them don't or won't that it would be too much trouble for me to maintain multiple conversations that might be happening in separate places (in thought, not just LJ/DW). I also want to be sure that any new folks get maximum encouragement to start reading and then by the time they're hooked, they won't mind coming over here.
Oh yeah, I was thinking that you could lock the comments on the LJ post & have them all here (though I have noticed some LJ people get really twitchy about having to use OpenID--I'm used to it, I use it to leave comments w/the VOC Wordpress account sometimes if I'm leaving comments on, say, a vegan blog on Blogspot or something).
LOL at getting them hooked on Isabel! Hehehe. A good addiction!
Would it make sense to cross-post, but turn comments off on your dw posts? That way you'll still have only one conversation, but the people who just read dw will still realize you've put posts up.
I'm looking forward to your con report--I think we went to completely differnt panels, so through you I can get a feel for all the panels I sadly had to miss in favor of others.
I didn't think about that! I already posted over there, and comments have begun, so I think I'll just leave it alone this year. Next year, though...
Yeah, one of the best parts of reading other people's reports is the ability to live vicariously through them and extend your con experience! If only someone would hurry up and invent cloning for conventions!
